About Us

Beer has always been a passion of ours. Breweries and taprooms were always a place to blow off some steam from, at the time, a corporate work day or a place to enjoy friends and re-hash stories post bike ride, or of course Aprɘs style. Wanting to peel away from the drone of the corporate work world, the idea was put into Nate’s head that “ you should just open your own...”. So, a few years later, here we are.

Opening the doors in 2018, we wanted to bring an elevated beer experience to Lake Tahoe. A place where we could make craft beer shine… a place that also wasn’t in a casino or a strip mall. It was important to us that not just the beer was great, but the space is as well. So hunting out the right location was paramount to making The Hangar a reality.

We have an acre of outdoor, family-friendly space for you to enjoy your drinks, hang out, sit under a canopy of pine tress, listen to music and pretend as though you’re in your friends yard. A really big yard with an endless supply of beer. Corn hole, bocce ball and some other yard games are all available (in the adult only zone) to get a little competitive with your crew if that’s what you’re into.

With food trucks on-site and entertainment frequently on tap, we do our best to make this a place and an experience that you’ll want to tell your friends about.

Meet the Team

  • Trevor R.

Buyer and slinger of premium beverages.

Trevor has been around since day one, helping to get the doors open. He’s been a staple behind the bar and has grown from just slinging the beers to helping curate the list and find the new-new.

If you thought you may have seen him before he’s the star of social media content for Sierra-at-Tahoe…and a former X-Games competitor….with much longer, blacker hair.

  • Jordan S.

Beer Buyer, music aficionado and Super-dad.

Jordan has been with us for years. He comes from a background of retail and managing another taproom. If you like the menu he is a large part of the reason it is soo damn good, always. Jordan also brings in years of music experience to help keep our entertainment program dialed.

He would never tell you, but he was a drummer in a touring reggae band for years. He’s got some skills, but don’t touch his drum set.

  • Mollie S.

    Beertender.

Mollie joined us a few years ago and has been an instrumental part of the crew. She won’t ever be the loudest voice in the room, but she is a huge fan of craft beer and is knowledgeable about what she’s pouring for you.

Mollie also has a steady hand. She’s got a side hustle of making some amazing artwork, which she also sells. Next time you’re in, maybe ask her about it.

  • Hailey F.

    Beertender.

What she may not have in commanding stature, she makes up for with charisma and beer knowledge. A fan of the darker beers and the outdoors, if she’s not at work she’s likely jamming around with her dog on a hike or out surfing around on the mountain (not to be confused with her photo).

Hailey is also a realtor in town, so if you’re in the market. Or want to pretend like you’re in n episode of Cribs Hit. Her. Up.

  • Nate R.

    Always in the way.
